Sanbu:
Good job for mono palette.'s spring tour final.

This is an important message.
For at least 3 months, I will be taking a break from live performances.

To everyone supporting me

I am deeply sorry for the sudden announcement this time.
This was announced at the live today, but to be honest, right now, I am hardly able to sing.
Around a year and a half ago, during the time when my throat was in bad condition, my voice would frequently “flip” during times when I was singing the starting notes of songs, when aggressively changing singing pitch or producing consonants strongly.

At first I let it be, thinking it was just my throat being in bad condition, but as the days passed the frequency increased, and I sought a diagnosis.
The diagnosis result was, “functional voice dysphonia”.

I’ve loved singing since I was young, and singing was my only indulgence. Because I love this life guided by music, personally, I was shocked and disoriented.

Being unable to sing the way I wanted to, there was frustration, and for the 2 ~ 3 lives I had within a month, I couldn’t do the corresponding rehearsals because “No singing, for the sake of rehabilitation”, and I considered “I’ll carry out activities as long as I can produce sounds, if the time comes, I’ll stop,” but didn’t make a clear decision.

Since the time of my diagnosis, around a year has passed, and the time has come where “I am unable to sing”. Recently, I no longer know my original singing style anymore, and even when I speak, I’m unable to do so loudly.

When this moment arrived, I thought: I should have thought of stopping then, but now it’s become a situation where I cannot sing; and somehow, this is very regrettable and sad.
This sensation was even beyond my own expectation, but in an out-of-character way, I feel it is because of everyone who has supported me to where I am now. ((TN: He feels the loss even more acutely because of all his supporters))
Therefore, I don’t know when I will recover, but I’ve decided to face up to this illness and treat it properly.
“When I go on hiatus, and put all my focus on rehabilitation, will there be fans who wait for me?”
“I’m 27 years old this year; is it alright for me to still keep chasing my dreams?” I am troubled by thoughts like this too.
At the very least, I won’t be able to sing for 3 months, and of course I won’t be able to appear at lives.
Even so, right now, I like singing, and I’m seriously wishing to stand before everyone again, and sing the songs I love to you.

I will be continuing my non-singing activities as they have been up to now, and I will be working on facing off squarely with this illness and definitely show you all my healthy self.
I would be glad if you could watch over me with warm eyes.

Thank you to everyone who gave me dreams and courage; please continue supporting 3bu, and the members of mono palette.

*flumpool's vocalist Yamamura Ryuta was diagnosed with the same condition in December 2017; flumpool cancelled all remaining shows of their tour and went on hiatus after the diagnosis for Yamamura to receive therapy and recover - right now, they are in the middle of their 2019 comeback tour.

Yamamura Ryuta: (QRT Sanbu)
The loneliness and inner conflict, I can greatly empathise with you.
But,
The day will most likely come where you think "I am glad I announced this at that time."

Yamamura Ryuta:
No matter what, I want you to not be impatient.

Sanbu:
I was able to speak with you, gather my courage, and step forward. I want to recover as quickly as possible, but without rushing things.
Thank you very much, really.

Yamamura Ryuta:
You'll certainly recover! ^^
Let's speak again!
